Dai Jun
DaiJun, born in 1964, a Postdoctor and Professor, now is the dean of Institute ofConstruction Engineering,and the Member of Expert Committee on BlastingTechnology and Blasting Materials of China Coal Industry. Over the past fiveyears, he has completed more than 20 cross-sectional research projects such asthe National Natural Science Foundation of China, published more than 50 papers(among them, more than 10 articles are included by EI,ISTP), 2 books and 3textbooks, participated in a manual compilation as editor-in-chief , andawarded a first prize and a second prize at the provincial and ministeriallevel for Scientific and Technological Achievements respectively, the firstprize and the third prize at the department and bureau level for each as wellas 1 special prize at the school level for Teaching Achievements. In addition,the textbook, "Blasting Engineering"published by him was recognizedas a national planning textbook of general higher education during the"Eleventh Five-Year" Plan, and won the second prize of excellentteaching materials in Shaanxi Province,at present,which textbook has beenchosen by many colleges and universities in China. His book,"Rock DynamicCharacteristics and Blasting Theory", has been cited by nearly 100 peopleso far, which, then, was republished in 2013 and received praise fromprofessional peers. What's more, the textbook,"Tunnel Engineering"published by him in 2014, was awarded the second prize of excellent teachingmaterials in colleges and universities in Shaanxi Province in 2015.
Now,his main research directions include the rock dynamics and blasting theory,the modern rock crushing technology, the support and construction technology ofdeep tunnel and the anti-explosion theory and design of urban tunnel.Meanwhile, he also teaches some courses for undergraduate and postgraduatestudents, such as "Blasting Engineering","TunnelEngineering", "Rock Mechanics","Higher Rock and SoilMechanics", "Explosion Dynamics"as well as "Fundamentals ofExplosion Physics".
Deng Yousheng
DengYousheng, born in 1969, a doctor ,professor, and PhD Supervisor. In 2005, hegraduated with a doctorate in Engineering in Bridge and Tunnel engineering,Institute of Civil Engineering, Southeast University, then successively engagedin scientific research in Postdoctoral Research Station of Civil Engineering inWuhan University of Technology and Hunan University and finally completed thepostdoctoral study on schedule. Now, Deng Youshengalso is the member of Pile Foundation Academic Committee of Soil Mechanics andRock and Soil Engineering Branch of China Civil Engineering Society ,and mainly engaged in bridge foundation engineering,housing construction foundation engineering, engineering structure disasterprevention and mitigation and other aspects of teaching and research work. Hehas published more than 80 research papers in more than 40 domestic and foreignacademic journals as first author or corresponding author, among which morethan 20 papers have been retrieved by SCI and EI. He also has edited andpublished 5 textbooks, one of which won the special prize of Peking UniversityPress. In addition, he has taken part in edition work of "EngineeringManual of Pile Foundation"(2nd Edition) , as well, granted 5 nationalpatents, presided over 3 general projects of the Natural Science Foundation ofChina and 2 provincial key projects, participated in the western transportationscience and technology projects of the Ministry of Communications, the jointkey research project of the enterprises of the Ministry of Communications, thescientific research project of the China Railway Bridge Bureau Group etc., andalso won 3 provincial science and technology awards.

Gu Shuancheng
GuShuancheng, a doctor, professor, academic leader of municipal engineering ofthe university, PhD Supervisor, member of Academic Committee of the university,member of Teaching Steering Committee of the university, member of ChineseSociety for Rock Mechanics & Engineering, director of Shaanxi Society forRock-Soil Mechanics and Engineering and Shaanxi Civil Engineering ProfessionalCommittee as well as member of Shaanxi Coal Society, now serves as the dean ofthe Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering of Xi'an University ofScience and Technology. He mainly engages in theresearch of the theory and technology of geotechnical reinforcement,reliability analysis of structure and seismic resistance of undergroundstructures. In recent years, he has hosted more than 50cross-sectional scientific research projects respectively, published more than70 academic papers and won 5 awards for progress in science and technology ator above the office and bureau level.
Ren Jianxi
RenJianxi, male, born on February 24, 1968, a second-grade professor, post-doctorand PhD Supervisor, now is known as a renownedteacher of colleges and universities in Shaanxi. He graduated from Xi'anInstitute of Mining and Technology in 1990, majoring in Mine Construction, thengraduated from this institute again in 1993 with a master's degree in MineConstruction Engineering, and finally graduated in 2001 from Institute of Rockand Soil Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, with a doctorate inGeotechnical Engineering. From 2001 to 2003, he worked in Shanghai JiaotongUniversity Research Station on Mechanics for Postdoctoral Fellows. He wasexceptional promoted to professor in 2004, and was employed as a PhD Supervisorin 2006. Meanwhile, he also was the doctoralprogram leader of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation and Protection Engineeringin School .The leading official of NationalVirtual Simulation Experiment Teaching Center of Mine Construction Engineering,Professional Teaching Team of Geotechnical Engineering in Shaanxi Province,Cultivation Mode Innovation Experimental Area of Application-oriented CivilEngineering Talents in Shaanxi Province, and Shaanxi Geotechnical EngineeringExperimental Teaching Demonstration Center. At same time, he alsowas the person in charge of some provincial fine courses, including"Rockand Soil Mechanics","Special Structure Design ofMine","Geotechnical Engineering Testing Technology",and"Underground Engineering Construction Technology". He has been responsible for the"Construction and Practice of Training Mode of Practical InnovationAbility for Students Majoring in Civil Engineering in Coal Industry", andwhich has won the first prize of excellent teaching achievement in ShaanxiProvince in 2015. Moreover, his participation in "Standard for Constructionand Acceptance of Precast Segments of Shield Tunnel in Subway" won thesecond prize of Science and Technology Award in Shaanxi Province in 2015 andthe"Standard for Construction and Acceptance of Prestressed ConcretePrefabricated Beams for Rail Transit"won the second prize of Science andTechnology Award in Shaanxi Province in 2016. Shi Zhijun
ShiZhijun, male, born in 1955, a professor and PhD Supervisor, is the former chiefscientist of China Coal Technology Engineering Group, deputy chief engineer ofXi'an Research Institute Co., Ltd. and director of Drilling Research andDevelopment Center. Meanwhile, he is also the director of the Drilling EngineeringProfessional Committee of the China Coal Society, deputy director ofProspecting Engineering Professional Committee of China Geological Society anddirector of China Coal Society. He has been entitled to the special allowanceof the State Council and has won the National "May 1st LabourMedal"and"Sun Yueqi Energy Award". Meanwhile, he still is theeffective candidate for academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering.
Professor Shi Zhijun has been committed to the research anddevelopment of drilling technology and equipment related to coal mine safetyproduction for a long time and has achieved innovative results in the aspectsof underground primary directional drilling, directional drilling withmeasuring and controlling while drilling and Technology and equipment ofcoalbed gas (gas) three-dimensional development and drilling, all of which hasreached the international leading level. The above research results have beenapplied to gas drainage, water hazard prevention and control, detection ofhidden hazard-causing factors and slope protection, tunnel support and otheraspects of major coal mines in the country and great economic and socialbenefits have been obtained. In addition, Professor Shi Zhijunhas trained 10 doctor students and 6 master students,and has successively won 2national scientific and technological progress awards, 1 provincial andministerial special prize, and 7 first prizes; What's more, he also granted 21patents for invention, published more than 80 academic papers, published 6monographs and presided over and participated in the revision of 6 national andindustry standards.
Yang Gengshe
YangGengshe, male, born in 1962, is a professor, postdoctor and PhD Supervisor. Hegot his doctor's degree in 1995. Now, he is the current president of Xi'anUniversity of Science and Technology, convenor of first-level disciplines ofcivil engineering and academic leader of geotechnical engineering. Meanwhile, he also serves as the current deputy directorof Education Committee of International Society for Rock Mechanics and RockEngineering, executive director of Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics &Engineering, executive director of China Coal Society, director of ChinaNational Coal Association, vice chairman of Shaanxi Society for Rock-SoilMechanics and Engineering, executive director of Higher Education associationin Shaanxi Province as well as executive director of Shaanxi Coal IndustryAssociation. In addition, he is theeditorial member of "Journal of Coal Science &Engineering(China)", "Journal of Rock Mechanics and GeotechnicalEngineering", "Chinese Journal of Underground Space andEngineering" and "Mine Construction Technology". Sofar, he has cultivated 13 doctoral students, 8 of whom have graduated and 5 arestudying. His research directions are : 1. Rock and Soil Damage Mechanics andCT Recognition; 2. Characteristic Research on Damage Mechanics of Frozen-thawedRock and Soil; 3. Numerical Calculation and Engineering Application of Rock andSoil Mechanics.
Professor Yang Gengshe is successivelyresponsible for dozens of scientific research projects, such as Natural ScienceFoundation of China and Excellent Young Teachers Fund of the Ministry ofEducation.In China, he first applied CT identification technology to the research ofdamage mechanical properties of rock and soil, then explored the change ofextended mechanism, evolutionary character and microscopic structure ofmicroscopic damage of rock mass, and finally established the extending rulesand damage constitutive relation of rock mass microscopic damage, which maderock microscopic damage mechanics developed from qualitative to quantitativetechnology. What's more, he aimed at the keyfoundation problem of stability of frozen wall in vertical shaft of deepwater-rich bedrock coal mine of cretaceous strata in western China and alsomade in-depth researches on physical and mechanical properties of deepwater-rich bedrock frozen rock wall at low temperature, mechanical propertiesof frozen wall rock freezing damage, coupling analysis of freezing temperaturefield, water component field and stress field during freezing process offreezing wall rock, numerical calculation of water-thermal coupling finiteelement method for freezing wall and stability evaluation of freezing wall, andso on, which enabled him to provide a scientific theoretical basis for freezingdesign of vertical shaft in deep water-rich bedrock coal mine of cretaceousstrata in western China. In academic terms, he has publishednearly 100 papers, of which more than 60 were included in SCI,EI, and werecited nearly 1800 times. At the same time, he also published 8 textbookmonographs, including"Rock Mass Damage and Detection","Theoryand Practice of Western Mine Construction Engineering", "Analysis ofMicroscopic Damage and Hydrothermal Migration Mechanism of Rock Mass underFreeze-thaw Environment", "Rock Mechanics" and "Research onMicroscopic Structure and Damage Mechanical Properties of Frozen-thawed RockBased on CT Image Processing". Now he is the current vice dean of the Institute of Architecture and CivilEngineering of Xi 'an University of Science and Technology, leader of "KeyInnovation Team of Rock and Soil Stability and Geological Disaster Preventionand Control in Shaanxi Province",the gainer of"Supported by Programfor New Century Excellent Talents in University" of Ministry of Education,Young Science and Technology Nova in Shaanxi province, as well as expert ofProvincial Experts Group on Geological Disaster Emergency Response in ShaanxiProvince. Meanwhile, he is also the member of Chinese Society for RockMechanics & Engineering, director of Shaanxi Society for Rock Mechanics& Engineering and member of "Journal of Xi'an University of Scienceand Technology" Editorial Committee. His research directions are: 1.Engineering properties of special soil; 2. Stability evaluation andreinforcement technology of rock and soil mass; 3. Slope engineering; 4. Theoryand technology of geological disaster prevention and control. In addition, she also has published more than 40 papersand 5 textbooks . And she has won many awards, such as 1 National XuZhilun Excellent Teacher Award in Mechanics, School Renowned Teacher Award,Excellent Teacher Award, Excellent Teaching Achievement Award. Furthermore, shealso has instructed students to win 3 national awards and dozens of provincialawards in the National Zhou Peiyuan College Students Mechanics Competition.
