Professor Wu Yongping

Professor Huang Qingxiang
Huang Qingxiang (1966.12-): Doctor, second-grade professor, PhD Supervisor, National Outstanding Teacher, National-level Candidate for Talents Project, one of young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions to the country, expert enjoying the special government allowance awarded by the State Council. Current Stationmaster of Center for Post-doctoral Studies of Mining Engineering, Leader of Doctoral Program/Station in Mine Rock Mechanics and Engineering, Member of Academic Committee of Xi'an University of Science and Technology. Concurrent Member of China Coal Industry Technical Committee, Member of Editorial Board of Journal of Mining and Safety Engineering, Member of Editorial Board of Journal of Xi'an University of Science and Technology, Director of Shaanxi Society of Geotechnical Mechanics and Engineering, Director of Shaanxi Coal Society.He was selected as one of the first batch of New Century Outstanding Talents from the Ministry of Education of China. He also served as the Associate Dean of School of Energy, Xi'an University of Science and Technology.From 1987 to 1990, he studied in the Mining Department, Xi'an Institute of Mining and Technology, obtained a master's degree in mining engineering (the tutor was Professor Wu Shaoqian), and stayed at school to teach.In 1998, he obtained a doctor's degree in mining engineering from China University of Mining and Technology (the tutor was Academician Qian Minggao). From 2005 to 2006, he went to the West Virginia University as a visiting scholar. The cooperation supervisor was Professor S.S. Peng, one of the academicians of U.S. National Academy of Engineering.
His main research direction is based on mine pressure and strata control. He is a pioneer in the theory of strata control in shallow coal seam in China, who has higher attainments in the fields of soft rock roadway support technology and fully-mechanized caving mining in steeply-inclined extra-thick coal seam.He has presided over the completion of more than 40 provincial and ministerial-level key and enterprise cooperation projects successively, including: 5 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China: Theory on the Dynamic Roof Structure of Shallow-buried Coal Seam (2001), Study on the Stability of Surface Water-resisting Layer in Shallow-buried Coal Seam Mining and Water-retaining Mining (2005), Study on the Stability of Local Flexible Filling Water-resisting Rock Formation in Shallow-buried Coal Seam (2011), Study on the Height Roof Structure in Shallow-buried Coal Seam Large-mining and its Stability (2011), Structural Effect of Coal Pillars in Shallow-buried Coal Seam Mining and Coupling Control of Stress Field and Fracture Field (2016, Grant No. 51674190); Project supported by the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University of Ministry of Education of China: Shallow-buried Coal Seam Mining and Environmental Protection (2004); Key Project supported by the Ministry of Education: Study on the Law of Surface Water and Soil Loss in Shallow-buried Coal Seam Mining (2004); Project supported by the Scientific and Technological Coordination Innovation Engineering Plan in Shaanxi: Study on the Technology for Shallow-buried Coal Seam Strip Filling and Water Conservation Mining in the Ecologically fragile Mining Area of Northern Shaanxi (2011), etc.The Shallow-buried Coal Seam Control Theory and its Application as presided over and completed by him won the first prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Shaanxi in 2016. The Key Technology for Coal Mining and Ecological Environmental Protection in the Ecologically Fragile Area of the Ordos Basin as participated in and completed by him won the second prize for National Scientific and Technological Progress in 2011. The "Study on Coal Water Geological Characteristics and Scientific Mining in the Ecologically Fragile Mining Area of Northern Shaanxi" won the first prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Shaanxi in 2010. The "Study on Coal Resource Mining and Ecological Water Level Protection in the Yushenfu Mining Area" won the first prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in China Coal Industry in 2010. The "Theory of Key Strata in Ground Control" won the first prize for the Progress of Natural Science in Colleges and Universities in china in 2002. Moreover, he has won 9 second and third prizes for scientific and technological progress in Shaanxi, Sichuan, Xinjiang and other provinces & regions in the fields of roadway (tunnel) support, fully-mechanized mining of three-soft coal seam, caving mining of steeply inclined coal seam, etc. He has published his monographs as follows: "Study on Roof Structure and Strata Control in Longwall Mining of Shallow-buried Coal Seam" (China University of Mining and Technology Press, 2000), "Coal Development/Exploitation and Ecological Water Level Protection in Ecologically Fragile Areas" (Science Press, 2010), "Strata Control of Strip Filling Water Conservation Mining of Shallow-buried Coal Seam" (Science Press, 2014).As the first author, he has published more than 90 papers, and obtained 13 patents.The published "Analysis of Roof Structure under Periodic Pressure in Shallow-buried Coal Seam Stope" was selected into the most influential 100 academic papers at the time of celebrating the 50th anniversary of transactions of the Journal Of China Coal Society, while the "Study on the Characteristics and Water Conservation Mining Zoning of Water-bearing (resisting) Layer in Ecologically Fragile Mining Area" was selected Frontrunner 5000 - top academic paper platform of top-class academic journal in China (F5000).

Professor Chai Jing
Chai Jing: Male, born in 1964.Doctor, second-grade professor, PhD Supervisor.Current Director of Subject Construction Office of Xi'an University of Science and Technology, Leader of Doctoral Program/Station in the Exploitation/Development and Utilization of Mineral Resources, Hu Yang Scholar, Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Instructor in Shaanxi. Concurrent Executive Director of Shaanxi Provincial Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering, Member of Rock Mechanics and Support Committee of China Coal Society, Member of Expert Committee on Coal Mine Mining of China Coal Industry Association, Distinguished Expert of Xi'an Expert Advisory Group/Mission, Member of Shaanxi Provincial Society for Academic Degree and Postgraduate Education, Secretary-General of Academic Committee of Xi'an University of Science and Technology. In 1985, he graduated from the Department of Mining Engineering, Chongqing University, majoring in Mining Engineering, with a bachelor's degree. In 1988, he received a master's degree in mining mechanical engineering from Xi'an University of Science and Technology. In 2003, he received a doctor's degree in safety technology and engineering from Xi'an University of Science and Technology. He has not only been teaching the mine pressure and strata control, rock mechanics, mining engineering and other frontier disciplinary courses for the undergraduate students, experimental rock mechanics, advanced mining engineering and other courses for the doctoral & master students, but also has trained 7 doctors and more than 50 masters.
His main research direction is based on mine pressure and strata control, experimental rock mechanics and optical fiber sensing intelligent monitoring technology.
He has successively presided over the completion of more than 30 projects, such as Project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Project supported by the Key Laboratory Foundation, Project supported by the Provincial and ministerial-level Foundations and other horizontal projects in aspects of roadway support and excavation, experimental technology, mining theory, mining subsidence, vertical shaft support and stratum settlement monitoring, etc.He has presided over the completion of 4 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. And the Study on Key Technology for Optical Fiber Sensing Stratigraphic Stratification Settlement Gauge (RMB 1.8 million Yuan) has been funded by the Project supported by the Special foundation for Scientific Instruments of National Natural Science Foundation of China, which has been included in the key project management.The optical fiber sensing technology has been applied to the fields of experimental rock mechanics and coal mine monitoring for the first time in China. The completed research results won the second prize for the ninth scientific and technological papers in Shaanxi in 2006, and received the attention from scholars in France, the United States, Japan and China.In 2008, he won the first prize for scientific and technological achievements in institutions of higher learning for the Distributed Optical Fiber Sensing Detection Method for Deformation of Similar Material Models passing the appraisal organized by China Coal Industry Association. He won the first prize for scientific and technological progress in the China Coal Industry and the second prize for scientific and technological progress in Gansu for the innovative technology of shaft construction completed in 2006. In 2008, he won the second prize for scientific and technological progress in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region for the Study on Rapid Tunneling Technology and Support System for Roadway in Shizuishan No.2 Mine.In 2012, he won the second prize for scientific and technological progress in China Coal Industry Association for the Method for Multi-point Detection of Rock Deformation by Implantable Fiber Bragg Grating.In 2014, for the results of method for detection of rock deformation by optical fiber sensor, as the first person for completion, he won the second prize for scientific and technological progress in Shaanxi as awarded by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government.
He has published more than 110 papers in "Int.J.Rock Mech.Min.Sci.", "Tunneling and Underground Space Technology", Journal Of China Coal Society, Chinese Journal of Rock Mechanics and Engineering and other journals, including 27 papers included in SCI and EI. He has won 5 provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress awards, 6 invention patents and more than 10 utility model patents.In 2009, he was awarded the honorary title of Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Instructor in Shaanxi. In 2015 and 2017, he was awarded the honorary title of Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Instructor of Xi'an University of Science and Technology.In 2014, he guided undergraduate students to win the Bronze Award in the National 9th Challenge Cup University Student Business Plan Competition and the Gold Award in the Shaanxi University Student Business Plan Competition.In 2015, he guided undergraduate students to win the Award for National Excellent Achievements in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program for Undergraduates.

Lai Xingping: Male, born in 1971, doctor (postdoctor), second-grade professor, PhD Supervisor, Distinguished Professor of "Yangtze River Scholars Award Program" of the Ministry of Education, Secretary-General of Education Committee of International Society for Rock Mechanics.Current Head of Science and Technology Department/Division of Xi'an University of Science and Technology, Leader of Key Scientific and Technological Innovation Team of Shaanxi; concurrent Member of Expert Committee of Coal Industry Association; Winner of Silver Award for Youth Progress in Science and Technology awarded by the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering; one of the Young and Middle-aged Leaders in Scientific and Technological Innovation in Innovative Talent Promotion Plan of Shaanxi; Winner of Award for Youth Progress in Science and Technology in Shaanxi; Winner of Award for the 9th Young Teachers awarded by Fok Ying Tung Foundation.Professor Lai Xingping is mainly engaged in the research on dynamic disaster prediction and scientific mining of mines in western China. Professor Yu Xueyi
Yu Xueyi: Male, born in 1955, doctor of Poland Krakow University of Mining and Technology, second-grade professor of Xi'an University of Science and Technology, PhD Supervisor, Director of Institute of Mining Damage and Ground Protection; Member of Mining Professional Committee and Technology Appraisal Commission for Mining Damage of China Coal Society, expert enjoying the special government allowance awarded by the State Council.
He has long been engaged in the teaching and scientific research on mining damage and environmental protection. He has taught 6 courses for undergraduate students majoring in mining engineering, including Mining Science, Mine Mining Design and other courses; presided over the construction of provincial-level excellent course - Mining Damage Science; focused on the study of three-under mining and ground protection under complex conditions in western mining areas; successively presided over the completion of major research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Science and Technology; and won 14 provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological progress awards. He has served as not only the editor-in-chief responsible for editing the textbook for the Eleventh Five-Year Plan of the Ministry of Education - "Mining Damage Science", but also the deputy editor-in-chief and associate editor responsible for editing the textbook and other 9 monographs. He has published more than 80 papers at home and abroad, including 20 papers included in SCI, EI and ISTP for searching.
Professor Deng Guangzhe
Deng Guangzhe: Male, born in 1965, doctor of engineering of Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor, PhD Supervisor. Visiting Professor, Kyushu University, Japan; Winner of Huo Yingdong Outstanding Youth Fund; Person in charge of Construction of Top-quality Course of "Mine Rock Mechanics" for Resource sharing in Shaanxi.Current Member of National Technical Committee of Coal Industry; Director of Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics; Member of Coal Mine Support Professional Committee; Expert of Expert Group of Shaanxi Coal Association; Executive Director of Professional Committee on Underground Engineering and Space.
He has long been engaged in the teaching and research on mine rock mechanics and strata control.He has established the systematic analysis theory and calculation method for strata control in high stress mines in western China.In China, he created the technology and method for clean and safe mining of coal seam cracked by water pressure earlier. He has successively presided over the completion of provincial and ministerial-level major projects, e.g. "Research and Application of Key Technologies for Fracturing and Softening in Low-permeability Coal Seam", "Gas-water Pre-explosion Pressure Relief and Type Selection of Supports for Fully Mechanized Coal Mining in Shallow Coal Seam Mining Area", "New Materials and Equipment for Fracturing and Softening of Coal and Rock Impact Disasters", etc.; presided over the completion of fracturing mining of hard and thick coal seam, rapid tunneling and intelligent control of roadway in deep mine and other more than 50 applied research projects supported by Shenhua Group, Yankuang Group, Shaanxi Coal Group, Yunnan Coal Chemical Group, Jinchuan Group, etc.; won 10 awards for scientific and technological progress in Shaanxi, Yunnan and Gansu, etc.; obtained 12 national invention patents; published 3 academic monographs; edited 2 academic monographs; and published more than 80 academic papers, including 32 academic papers included in SCI, EI and ISTP for searching.

Professor Suo Yonglu
Suo Yonglu: Male, born in 1960, doctor, professor, PhD Supervisor, from Baoji, Shaanxi. In 1984, he graduated from Xi'an Mining Institute, majoring in mining engineering. In 1987, he obtained a master's degree in mining engineering. In 2004, he obtained a doctor's degree in safety technology and engineering from Xi'an University of Science and Technology.
Since July 1987, he has been engaged in the teaching and research on mining engineering in the Department of Mining Engineering of Xi'an University of Science and Technology. He has not only long been committed to a lot of research on coal mining methods, thick coal seam mining technology, technology for high production and high efficiency of working face, roadway support, etc., but also has more systematically put forward and studied the basic theory and method of pre-blasting weakening of hard top coal in fully mechanized caving mining. He has not only been responsible for completing more than 30 scientific research projects, such as Project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, project entrusted by enterprises, etc., but also has won one special prize, one first prize and one second prize for provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological progress, and obtained one national invention patent.He has published one monograph and more than 70 academic papers.

Professor Zhang Jie
Zhang Jie: Male, born in 1978, from Dazhou, Sichuan, professor, PhD Supervisor.Leader of Key Science and Technology Innovation Team in Shaanxi, Winner of Youth Science and Technology Progress Award in National Coal Industry; Excellent Scientific and Technological Worker in the Coal Industry of Shaanxi; Author of Youth Excellent Academic Papers in the Journal of Rock Mechanics and Engineering.He has not only mainly been engaged in the research on shallow coal seam mining in Yulin Shenfu mining area, but also has presided over the completion of two general projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project supported by the Youth Foundation of National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project supported by the Key Science and Technology Innovation Team in Shaanxi and other two provincial-level projects.He has participated in the completion of more than 10 national and provincial-level projects, e.g. Project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Project supported by the National Foundation of Ministry of Science and Technology, Project supported by the Doctoral Program/Station Foundation of the Ministry of Education, Project supported by Special Foundation for 13115 Major Science and Technology Innovation Project in Shaanxi, etc.He has presided over the completion of more than 40 projects entrusted by enterprises.He has not only published more than 50 academic papers, including more than 20 papers including SCI and EI for searching, but also has obtained 4 national patents.He has won 6 second and third prizes for scientific and technological progress at the provincial and ministerial levels.
Professor Zhao Bingchao
Zhao Bingchao: Born in September 1978, from Jincheng, Shanxi, doctor, professor, PhD Supervisor, current Associate Dean of School of Energy.Teaching Master of Xi'an University of Science and Technology, First Teaching Rookie, Second-grade Hu Yang Teaching Master. He has mainly been engaged in the teaching and scientific research on mining damage and environmental protection, but also has mainly taught the courses, e.g. Mining Damage and Prevention, Mining Subsidence and Control, Mine Map and Drawing, Introduction to Coal Mining, etc.
In recent years, he has taken charge of one project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China; participated in 10 scientific research projects, e.g. Project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, Project supported by the Public Welfare Foundation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Project supported by the Doctoral Program/Station Foundation of the Ministry of Education, Project supported by the Key Science and Technology Innovation Team in Shaanxi, Project supported by the Shaanxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation, etc.; presided over the completion of more than 20 longitudinal and horizontal scientific research projects.He has won one second prize and two third prizes for provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological achievements; published more than 30 academic papers (including 11 papers included in EI and one paper included in SCI); published one monograph; obtained 3 invention patents, 3 utility model patents and 2 software copyrights.He has presided over the completion of one provincial-level education reform project and two school-level educational reform projects; presided over editing one planned textbook for coal higher education, and participated in editing two planned textbooks for coal higher education; won one second prize for Teaching Achievements in Shaanxi, one special prize and one third prize for Teaching Achievements in China Coal Education Association, one third prize for excellent textbooks, three special prizes and one first prize for school teaching achievements.
