On the evening of June 29, Xi'an University of Science and Technology celebrated the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with a grand performance under the theme of "Always Follow the Party to Forge Ahead into A New Journey", which was held in Mingde Square, Lishan Campus, Lintong District. The 12th Steering Group for Party History Education of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial Education Working Committee and some universities in Shaanxi were invited to observe and guide on site.
The century-old journey is a magnificent upsurge, which remains unshakable and becomes even firmer as time goes by. The performance kicked off in the magnificent opening song and dance— Eternal Flame. The songs and dances Graduation Song and Qinhuai Scenery reproduced the glorious years of the past and ignited the patriotic flame of the hot-blooded youth to save the nation from subjugation. The audience enjoyed the ups and downs of music and the vigorous and powerful dance in Forever Long March. They were guided by the performance to cherish the memory of history and feel the spirit of the Long March. One Hundred Years of Glory interpreted the grandeur of Mao Zedong's poems in the form of sound, poetry and painting, and exhibited the initial mission of XUST to educate people for the Party and the country. Under Baota Mountain and Praise to the Party eulogized the glorious achievements of the Party with unique performance enthusiasm and the infinite love for the Party was expressed. The scene performance Strive, the dances Building a Chinese Dream Together and Creating a Dream Silk Road showed the great Chinese power incisively and vividly, which aroused the deep resonance of the audience; Struggle, Populus Diversifolia, Green XUST and Light Chaser kept up with the theme of the times, demonstrated the youth power of XUST, exhibited the dream and ideal of XUST students, and presented the vivid practice of XUST youth shouldering the mission of the times bravely. Without the Communist Party there would be no New China, sung by school leaders, XUST Party Committee members, heads of grass-roots party organizations, full-time and part-time Party cadres and advanced Party members, pushed the performance to a climax. The performance came to an end in the chorus Ode to the Motherland. The audience praised that the performance was organically integrated with the 100-year party history, and closely combined with the reality of school reform and development, which presented a vivid and profound party history education class. The audience believed that at the historic point of the centenary of the founding of the Party, we must adhere to the guidance of scientific theory, firm ideals and beliefs, enhance "four consciousnesses", strengthen "four self-confidences" and achieve "two safeguards", and make contributions to the journey of building socialist modernization in an all-round way.
