Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Education issued the Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education on Announcing the List of Construction Sites of National and Provincial First-class Undergraduate Specialty in 2019 (J.G.T.H. [2019] No. 46), officially announcing the list of construction sites of "Double First Class University Plan" of first-class undergraduate specialties.8 specialties of Xi'an University of Science and Technology has been approved as the construction sites of the national level, and 10 specialties has been approved as the construction sites of the provincial level in 2019. The number of approved projects is the highest among the universities in province.
In April 2019, the Ministry of Education launched the "Double First Class University Plan" for the construction of first-class undergraduate specialties, which will build 10,000 national first-class undergraduate specialties and 10,000 provincial first-class undergraduate specialties from 2019 to 2021.The first batch of the construction sites of recognized national first-class undergraduate specialties are 4,054.
To follow through the selection and construction plan of the first batch of construction sites of first-class specialties, the university accurately grasped the application policy, carefully sorted out the specialty resources, scientifically formulated the application strategy, attentively organized several special tutoring and training, and hired well-known domestic experts to give careful guidance to the application materials and construction plans to ensure the efficiency of application results.By concentrating the limited resources, the university has built a number of brand specialties with strong radiation and influence, which has become an important part of the implementation of the action plan on first-class undergraduate education and improvement of undergraduate teaching quality of our university.
The selection of 18 specialties of our university as construction sites of national and provincial first-class undergraduate specialties is a full affirmation of the specialty connotation construction and the actual effect of personnel training.The university will meet the requirements of the standard, improve the specialties construction plan, continuously improve the professional level, play a leading role in demonstration, and promote the "Double First Class" construction of Xi'an University of Science and Technology.
