On the morning of October 29, President Jiang Lin went to College of Mechanical Engineering to carry out an educational investigation themed “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind”.More than 30 people, including party and administrative members, department heads, branch secretaries, some section-level cadres, teachers' representatives and students' representatives, participated in the investigation symposium.
At the symposium, the participants spoke freely and put forward constructive opinions and suggestions on "strengthening the construction of the integrated disciplines and specialties, and building a high-level personnel training system" by combining with the actual situation in their studies and works.
Jiang Lin pointed out that the connotative development has become the theme of the development of China's higher education.With this theme, it is obvious that the core of both the national "Double First Class" construction and the "Four First Class" construction in Shaanxi Province is to construct the discipline and specialty.Promoting the construction of the integrated discipline and specialty is not only the way to comprehensively improve the construction level of discipline and specialty, but also the fundamental path to promote the "Double First Class" construction.
Jiang stressed that we should deeply study the important expositions of Xi Jinping on education, firmly promote the education themed “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind”, strengthen the awareness of innovation and reform by taking the construction of high-level talents as the core, and further consolidate the ideas of college cadres and teachers into the practice of promoting "Double First Class" construction, promoting the development school education in a higher level.
