On July 13, the first meeting of Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the Party Building Conference of Central and State Organs was held in Lishan Campus of Lintong Campus. Zhou Xiaode, secretary of the Party Committee of the university, attended and spoke at the meeting, and persons in charge of the Party Committee of the Organ, the Party Committee of the Directly Affiliated Unit and the Party Committee of Infrastructure and Logistics, and representatives of persons in charge of Party Committee members of the Organ, functional departments, and the Directly Affiliated Unit attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Hu Wei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the university.
At the meeting, Hu Wei conveyed and studied the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the Party Building Work Conference of Central and State Organs. Ten deputies, including the Organization Department of the Party Committee, the Personnel Department, the Teachers' Work Department, Office of Student Affairs (Student Office), the Party Committee of the Organ, the Party Committee of the Directly Affiliated Unit, and the Party Committee of Infrastructure and Logistics exchanged views on strengthening and improving the party building work of the organ in the light of their actual work.
Zhou Xiaode listened carefully to the speeches made by the participants, shared his experience and insights in studying the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech, and put forward clear requirements for solidly promoting the effective implementation of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech. He pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on party building in the central and state organs is high in standing, broad in vision, and profound in ideology. It is highly instructive and pertinent, and points out the direction and provides guidance for better strengthening and improving party building under the new situation.
He stressed that the Party Committees of University Organs, including those of Directly Affiliated Units and the Party Committees of Infrastructure and Logistics, should take a step forward in theoretical arming and continue to give top priority to the study and implementation of the thinking of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, especially to the study and implementation of the important speeches made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the National Conference on Education, the National Conference on Ideological and Political Work in Colleges and Universities, and the Symposium for Teachers of Ideological and Political Courses in Colleges and Universities. Party Committees should adhere to the combination of theory and practice, understand principles, seek truth, understand reason, constantly enhance "four consciousness", strengthen "four confidence", and achieve "two maintenance"; On the basis of the basic level, these committees should further highlight the political function, optimize the establishment of branch offices, strengthen the secretaries of branch offices, implement the system of "three sessions and one lesson", innovate the forms and carriers of activities, pay attention to the cultivation of typical Party members, strengthen the education and management supervision of Party members, and constantly enhance the political leadership, ideological leadership and mass organization. Moreover, we should be stronger in promoting development, persist in serving the overall situation around the center, give full play to the exemplary vanguard role of Party members, build stronger battle fortresses, implement the decision-making and deployment of Party Committees with higher standards, promote development of the university with more practical measures, and reflect the effectiveness of Party building with better achievements. We should also be more connected with teachers and students, stick to the Party's mass line, contact closely with teachers and students, put ourselves in the shoes of the majority of teachers and students when thinking about problems, making decisions, and putting them into practice and do more work to warm, stabilize, and win the hearts of the people. We should timely report on relevant work, respond positively to the demands of teachers and students, help solve practical difficulties, and rally maximum joint force for the reform and development of the education cause of the university.
