On June 27th, Expert Consultation and Summary Meeting on "Double First Class" Construction of Shaanxi Province and Training Management and Quality Assurance Research of Graduate Student sponsored by the Degree Committee Office of Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and undertaken by our university was held at the first meeting room of Yanta Campus. Yuan Ning, Secretary-general of the Degree Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, Zhang Heping, Director of the Graduate Student Affairs Department of the Education Department (Degree Committee) and Li Shugang, Vice President of Xi'an University of Science and Technology attended the meeting. All experts for "Double First Class" Construction of Shaanxi Province and Training Management and Quality Assurance Research of Graduate Student attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Zhang Heping, Director of the Graduate Student Affairs Department of the Education Department.
At the meeting, Li Shugang, as the organizer, extended a warm welcome to the leaders and experts in his speech, and expressed heartfelt thanks to leaders of the Department of Education, other universities, colleges and experts for their guidance and strong support for the "Double First Class" construction and graduate education of our university.
Zhang Hao, Assistant Director of the Graduate Student Affairs Department of the Education Department, summarized the overall situation and main practices based on the investigation and study on "Double First Class" Construction of Shaanxi Province. Guo Xiangming, Director of the Office of Discipline Construction of Xi'an University of Technology, concluded the basic situation, main experience and existing problems of graduate education management and quality assurance investigation in Shaanxi Province.
Yuan Ning, Fang Yu, the former President of Shaanxi Normal University and other leaders and experts, according to the overall objectives, general investment and resource allocation of national "Double First Class" plan, orientation of postgraduate education, based on the summary report and in consideration of the actual situation of education work, summed up and offered advice and suggestions from different aspects and perspectives. These summaries and advice are valuable contributions to further development of "Double First Class" in our province and lay a sound foundation for the national "Double First Class" selection and the next round of discipline level assessment.
After the meeting, Zhou Xiaode, Secretary of the Party Committee of Xi'an University of Science and Technology, and Jiang Lin, President of the university, courteously received the experts came to our university.
