On June 24, the 9th Shaanxi Higher Education Expo and the 3rd Shaanxi Exhibition of Scientific and Technological Achievements in Universities and Colleges, the 5th Shaanxi Graduate Student Innovation Fair for Scientific and Technological Achievements and School-enterprise Matchmaking Conference, jointly organized by the Committee for Education of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the provincial Industry and Information Technology Department, and the provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, kicked off in Xi'an Qujiang International Conference and Exhibition Center. Fang Guanghua, Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province, Gao Yang, Deputy Secretary-General of the provincial government, Dong Xiaolong, Secretary of the Committee for Education of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee, Wang Jianli and Liu Jianlin, Director and Deputy Director of the Education Department of Shaanxi Provincial Government, along with other leaders, attended the exhibitions. Hu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, and the Vice President Li Shugang visited the exhibition sites and conveyed greetings to the staff and student volunteers there.
Accompanied by Hu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, and Vice President Li Shugang, Fang Guanghua, Dong Xiaolong and Wang Jianli visited the exhibition area for scientific and technological achievements of our university and chatted easily with students. They asked about the details in creating scientific and technological works, encouraged the students to make bold innovations, and highly praised students' scientific and technological innovation and practical capabilities.
15 works were recommended to participate in the innovation achievements exhibition, among which 13 works were from engineering schools, 1 work from science schools and 1 work from arts schools. These works not only include original objects, high-level academic papers published at home and abroad, but also some approved invention patents, covering different fields such as energy, security, electronics, computer, materials and social sciences. Through displaying with objects, boards, videos and other means, outstanding achievements of our university's graduate education were fully demonstrated.
With the theme of "Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China and Building a Strong Province of Higher Education", this exhibition aims to fully display the brilliant achievements of Shaanxi's higher education in the past 70 years, provide a platform for school-enterprise and school-local cooperation, provide a display window for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements of universities, and offer authoritative information and consulting services for the public. The three-day exhibition includes three exhibitions and two activities, namely, the theme exhibition of the Higher Education Expo, the exhibition of universities' scientific and technological achievements, the exhibition of graduate student's innovative achievements, the activity of university-enterprise cooperation and the activity of university enrollment consultation.
