On 30 May, XUST Mining Engineering High-end Forum for Talents Training in Intelligent Mining was held in Lishan School Yard, Lintong Campus. More than 20 experts and representatives from universities, research institutes and industrial enterprises including China University of Mining and Technology, Chongqing University, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Taiyuan University of Technology, Shandong University of Science and Technology, Henan Polytechnic University, Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, China Coal Design and Engineering Co., Ltd., Shaanxi Coal Chemical Technology Research Institute, Huangling Mining Group and Shendong Coal Group gathered together, and expressed their views of and experience with talents training in intelligent mining from their respective perspectives.
At the forum, Vice President Wang Guirong, on behalf of all the faculty and students of Xi'an University of Science and Technology, extended a warm welcome to the experts and representatives. According to Wang Guirong, the university will fully support the College of Energy Engineering in organizing and implementing the talents training in intelligent mining and promote the integrative development of industrialization and informatization of China's mining industry. He hoped that relevant colleges and departments will make comprehensive planning and coordination, earnestly promote the implementation of talents training in intelligent mining, and closely cooperate with each other in aspects of policy convergence, curriculum design and faculty guarantee, so as to ensure the establishment of Intelligent Mining Characteristic Class as scheduled; he also said that the College of Energy Engineering must exchange widely, go out actively, learn in depth, introduce to our university and digest well, so as to form our own characteristics and achieve good results in constructing the mining engineering intelligence mining of our university.
At the meeting, Professor Wan Zhijun of China University of Mining and Technology and Professor Jin Aibing of University of Science and Technology Beijing introduced the situations and working experience of intelligent mining talents training of their respective universities. After the teacher representative of the College of Energy Engineering of our university introduced the intelligent mining talents training scheme of XUST, outside experts, enterprise experts and professors fully discussed the talents training system, the course arrangement, class hours, sequence, enterprise engineering practice within the training scheme of intelligent mining for mining engineering of XUST and relevant topics, and put forward constructive suggestions.
Vice President Lai Xingping, on behalf of the university, expressed his gratitude to the experts for their concern and help in the construction of intelligent mining of the university's mining engineering. He said that the problems pointed out by the expert group, the opinions and suggestions put forward by the expert group were very frank and pertinent, and of vital importance, and that relevant departments and colleges should conscientiously study and improve the training programs, formulate specific implementation measures, and ensure that training work proceeds smoothly.
Responsible persons and teacher representatives of Office of Academic Affairs, College of Energy Engineering, College of Safety Science and Engineering, College of Mechanical Engineering, College of Electrical and Control Engineering, College of Communication and Information Engineering, College of Computer Science and Technology, College of Geology and Environment, College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and other relevant colleges and departments attended the forum.
