On May 9, the First National Summit on Media Convergence and All-media Development of Universities opened in Southwest Jiaotong University. The summit unveiled the results of the selection of the 2018 National College All-media Excellent Cases. The official WeChat column "Go Up, Youth" of our university stood out from more than 200 works of all-media cases and was selected as a Media Convergence Case for the National College All-media Excellent Cases. The summit was jointly sponsored by the People's Educationalist Research Institute of China Education Press Academy and Southwest Jiaotong University, and was attended by representatives of teachers and students from nearly 100 universities across the country, as well as 12 media organizations including Xinhua News Agency and China Education Daily.
"Go Up, Youth" column is a new media platform and a fine column made by the Publicity Department of the Party Committee of Xi'an University of Science and Technology to tell good stories of XUST, transmit the positive energy of XUST and show the spiritual style of XUSTers. Taking forms that are popular among teachers and students as the carrier and taking the stories of XUSTers' upbeat and goodness as the core, through reporting paradigms and setting examples, it enriches the methods of ideological and political education, enhances the self-confidence of campus culture and promotes the positive energy of youth. In 2018, the column "Go Up, Youth" won the title of National College Excellent Online Column in the Second National College "Famous Websites and Famous Columns" Competition, which was hosted by Chinese College Students Online guided by the Ideological and Political Department of the Ministry of Education of China.
