OnMarch 24, a China Key Project "Basic Theory Research on Digital Coal Mineand Intelligent Mining" of the National Natural Science Foundation, led byWang Guofa, an academician of China Coal Technology and Engineering Group andjointly undertaken by Cao Xiangang, a professor of Mechanics College of Xi'anUniversity of Science and Technology, was launched in the First Meeting Room ofYanta campus.
At the seminar, the president Jiang Lin delivered a welcome speech on behalf ofour university, extended sincere greetings and warm welcome to all the guests,and wished the project a smooth implementation. He pointed out that the basictheoretical research on digital coal mining and intelligent mining is of greatsignificance to the development of China's coal industry, and the projectshould direct attention to key issues, adhere to the original innovation,strive for key breakthroughs, and seek more long-term development. Wang Hong, adeputygeneral manager of China Coal Technology and Engineering Group, hopes thatthrough the implementation of the project, it can produce a series of theoriesto guide coal production and further promote the process of intelligent coalmining in China. The representatives of the project team members reported theoverall situation of the project, the research content undertaken by each unitand the research work carried out. At the end of the seminar, an academicianWang Guofa, the project leader, extended appreciation on behalf of the team forthe guidance offered by all experts and relevant units. In addition, heintroduced the formation process of the project to present experts in detail,elaborated the overall thought of the project, analyzed facing problems and theexpected significance of the project, and expressed the determination toachieve the project goals successfully.
WangShuangming, an academician of Xi'an University of Science and Technology, QiuAici, an academician of Northwest Institute of Nuclear Technology, Wang Hong, aresearcher and deputy general manager of China Coal Technology and EngineeringGroup, Wang Haijun, a senior engineer and deputy general manager of ShenhuaShendong Coal Group, Fan Jingdao, a senior engineer and deputy general managerof Shaanxi Yangchang Petroleum (Group) Co., Ltd., Shi Zhijun, a researcher ofXi'an Research Institute of China Coal Technology and Engineering Group, WuHaiyan, a senior engineer and deputy party secretary of Xi'an Heavy EquipmentManufacturing Group Co., Ltd., Wang Shuili, a senior engineer and secretary ofShaanxi Huisen Coal Industry Development Co., Ltd., Li Shugang, a vicepresident of Xi'an University of Science and Technology, Ma Hongwei, a formervice president of Xi'an University of Science and Technology and otherwell-known domestic experts attended the seminar. The participating expertsfully affirmed the project's research significance and the cutting edgetechnology in it, and agreed that the project is the basic research work forthe significant scientific demands of digital coal mine and intelligent mining.At the same time, the participating experts put forward opinions andsuggestions on the possible research difficulties of the project.
