On the morning of June 29, the graduation ceremony and degree awarding ceremony for the undergraduate of 2018 of Xi'an University of Science and Technology was held grandly in the Student Recreation Center of Yanta Campus. 980 graduate students have successfully completed their studies, and open brilliant new journeys of life with the conviction and original intention of the members of Xi'an University of Science and Technology.
More than 1,000 people including Zhou Xiaode, secretary of the Party Committee of the University, Li Ming, Fan Jianwu, Hu Wei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the University, Zhang Weihu, Li Shugang, Wang Guirong, vice-president, Huang Yingwei, chief accountant, and members of the degree committee, principals of party and government in all units and departments, secretaries raking charge of students' affairs in various colleges (departments), the deans (directors) in charge of postgraduate work, all graduate tutors, representatives of family members of graduate students and all graduate students of 2018 participated in the ceremony to witness the beautiful moment. Wen Hu, a teacher from the College of Safety Science and Engineering, gave a soulful speech as a graduate tutor. He used the word "cherish" as a key word to express his deep advice to the graduates. Xu Jing, one of graduates, gave a speech on behalf of all of graduate students. The graduation ceremony was successfully concluded in the song of Song of Xi'an University of Science and Technology sung by all the staff. At the subsequent degree awarding ceremony, all the graduates lined up in a neat line and stepped on the stage along with the list of students who will accept the degree by the host.
