With the recruitment group of Shaanxi province, Xi`an University of Science and Technology (XUST)successfully accomplished the recruitment activity in American and Canada on April 6. The recruitment activity is animportantmeasure to thoroughly apply the spirits of a series of President Xi Jinping’s important speeches, speed up the construction of strengthening the country through talents and gather overseas excellent talents to participate in each career of party and country. And it is a key step in the "Year of high-level talents team construction”defined in 2018.
Four job fairs are held respectively in New York, Boston, San Francisco and Vancouver, which attract a great number of talents studying or working in American or Canada to understand the talents import policies of Shaanxi province and XUST. The entire recruitment activity is characterized by extensive social influences, large participants, high talent quality, etc. A total of 35 people from 16 universities negotiate agreements with XUST, such as, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and University of British Columbia, 20 of which sign the intention agreements at the recruitment sites.
During the recruitment in American, Jiang Lin, president of XUST and president of XUST Alumni Association, attends the foundation ceremony of the XUST North American Alumni Association and elects the first president. Its foundation is the common aspiration of our alumni, the need to build a domestic first-class and high-level university with international influences and a vital process of the recruitment in American, and shape a future for the 60th anniversary of XUST in 2018.
The recruitment activity in American and Canada is another overseas recruitment activity following the recruitment activity in American in March 2017. On the basis of summing up the first overseas recruitment experience, XUST carries out large numbers of basic work and exerts the functions of the alumni living in North American, the faculties studying abroad and overseas media to conduct vigorous propaganda. Especially several professors studying abroad and alumni get involved in the recruitments in Boston, San Francisco and Vancouver to guarantee the effectiveness of the overseas talent recruitment.
The year of 2018 is defined as the “Year of high-level talents team construction”. According to the “three-step” development strategy, XUST will start with the recruitment activity, vigorously implement the special measures of talents construction in quarters, and promote high-level talents team construction in all-round way to ensure that great breakthroughs are made in 2018.
