On April 26, Academician Cai Meifeng, from University of Science and Technology Beijing, is invited to attend a series of academic activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Xi’an University of Science and Technology at Hu Yanglin lecture hall and gives an academic report titled “Research on China's Innovation Strategies of Sustainable Exploitation of Mineral Resources”. Zhou Xiaode, secretary of the CPC committee of XUST, presides over the report and over 300 teachers, doctoral students and master students listen to the report.
Academician Cai Meifeng gives a detailed introduction on China's innovation strategies of sustainable exploitation of mineral resources from green ecological mine construction, the main problems and key technology of deep mining, and intelligent remote-control mining, etc. He points out that intelligent remote-control mining is the most effective way to resolve a series of key technical challenges in deep mining, and green development, deep mining and intelligent mining are the three main themes of future mining development. After the report, Academician Cai Meifeng discusses and exchanges experience with our teachers and graduate students on science-related issues.
