On September 12 at 7:00 p.m., our school’s students enrolled in the Sino-Australian Joint School Running Program held a Mid-Autumn Festival and Teacher’s Day party at the China-Australia Cultural Exchange Center in the administration building of the Lintong Campus. More than 30 students from the jointly run civil engineering class and electrical control and automation class, Vice Dean of the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering Professor Qiu Jisheng, counselor Wang Yang, Professor Peter Doe from Australia and his wife, AEMG teacher Dong Wenting and relevant teachers at the Office of International Affairs attended the party.
President Qiu delivered a speech on behalf of the Office of International Affairs and the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering. He announced the official opening of our school’s China-Australia Cultural Exchange Center and wished teachers a happy Teachers’ Day and students a happy reunion on the Mid-Autumn Festival. Then the students introduced the origin and customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the Teachers’ Day in English. Professor Peter and his wife respectively introduced holidays in their own country. The students showed great enthusiasm, displayed their talent in a cheerful atmosphere and blessed each other.
Positioned at the forefront of efforts to improve the content of joint school running, our school’s China-Australia Cultural Exchange Center will strive to better serve students in English learning, international exchange and other work. The event promoted Sino-foreign cultural exchanges among our school’s students enrolled in the Sino-Australian Joint School Running Program and was highly praised by Chinese and Australian teachers and students.
