On August 2, Vice President Zhang Weigu, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office Shang Changchun among others attended the 9th China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (Make Education Play A Leading Role in Connecting the Hearts of People—China-ASEAN Forum on Cross-border Education Cooperation). The forum was organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange in collaboration with Guizhou University. More than 400 people from more than 40 colleges and universities attended the meeting. Xu Tao, head of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education, was invited to make a keynote speech: New developments, new policies and new initiatives for China’s international education exchange. Deputy head of the Department of Foreign assistance of the Ministry of Commerce and deputy director of the Education and Training Department of China Development Bank also gave a policy support speech on cross-border education cooperation. Leaders from Guizhou University, Beijing Normal University and other high-level colleges and universities also made a keynote speech. Many national policy directions were revealed at the meeting. The school got practical guidance from the experience of partner colleges and universities, which will play a vital role in further accelerating the internationalization of our school.
