On December 16, a delegation of five people headed by Chen Lilong, Malaysian Consul General in Xi’an visited our school. The heads of the Graduate School, the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, the School of Science and the College of Humanities and Foreign Languages attended the meeting and discussion.
Vice President Zhang Weihu met with Consul General Chen Lilong and member of the delegation. President Zhang first extended a warm welcome to the Malaysian delegation on behalf of the school and briefed the delegation on our school’s general situation, international exchanges and recent cooperation with several Malaysian universities. President Zhang said that our school attached great importance to cooperation and exchanges with Malaysian universities and hoped that exchanges and cooperation with Malaysian universities would be further expanded and deepened. Consul General Chen Lilong thanked Xi’an University of Science and Technology for the warm reception and hoped that Chinese and Malaysian universities would carry out comprehensive cooperation with student exchanges as a starting point.
Then Director of China Application Center for Malaysian Public Universities Liu Rong described in detail the characteristics of Malaysia and the application requirements and majors of the six famous universities of University of Malaya, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Northern University of Malaysia, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, University of Science Malaysia and Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris.
