From October 28 to 30, the 5th International Education Management Conference (IEMC) of the Australian Education Management Group (AEMG) - Create A Cloud-connected Silk Road of Higher Education, the Summit on the Significance and Impact of International Cooperation for and on the Development of Colleges and Universities was held at Southwest University in Chongqing。
Vice President Zhang Weihu was invited to attend the meeting and made a keynote speech entitled “Strengthen International Cooperation and Exchange and Promote the Development of Talents in Colleges and Universities” at the sub-forum. Nearly 300 people from more than 50 colleges and universities in seven countries and regions including Australia, North America and Europe attended the meeting. Personnel responsible for joint school running at the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the School of Electrical and Control Engineering and the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation attended the meeting. During the meeting, they met with representatives of partner Australian universities the University of Tasmania and Macquarie University to talk about matters related to joint school running.
The meeting resolved that the 2017 International Conference on Higher Education would be held at our school. Director of the Office of International Affairs Shang Changchun spoke on behalf of our school, saying that colleagues in international education circles from around the world and delegates to the meeting are welcome to visit Xi’an University of Science and Technology the next year to guide its work.
