Vice President of University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) in U.S.Visited XUST

 On the afternoon of June 16th, Carl Markgraff, the vice president of International affairs of University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) in U.S. visited XUST. The delegates from International Exchange and Cooperation Office and Graduate Division attended the symposium.
 

Vice president Zhang WeiHu hosted the symposium and had a nice meeting with vice president Carl Markgraff and other distinguished foreign guests at YanTa Campus.

President Zhang firstly showed warmly welcome to the guests, and then introduced the general situation of XUST and the international communication, and put forward the cooperation proposal at the same time. Vice president, Carl Markgraff, thanked XUST’s invitation and reception, briefly summed up the situation of UMD, and made a comprehensive analysis of the communication for undergraduates’ and  masters’ programs and teacher cooperation. The two sides have reached a consensus on the establishment of bilateral cooperative relations, and conducted a preliminary discussion on the cooperation and exchanges on master level exchange programs, civil engineering and water resources research.

MUD is a regional branch of the university of Minnesota system in U.S.which is founded in 1947 as a public comprehensive university. UMD campus consists of college education and public service institute, college of liberal arts, pharmacy college, graduate school, business and economic institute, school of medicine, academy of fine arts, science and engineering college. All the colleges have the authorization of bachelor, master, and doctorate.
