On behalf of the Organizing Committee, and it is with great pleasure that I invite you to participate the 11th International Mine Ventilation Congress (11th IMVC) in Xi'an, China, jointly hosted by Xi'an University of Science and Technology (XUST) and China University of Mining Technology (CUMT).
Xi'an is one of the most beautiful cities in China, a city that has a depth of historical attractions rivaling that of Beijing, or any ancient cities in the world. In addition to the 3-day technical sessions with nearly 100 technical presentations, there will also be a 2-day workshop, and invited speeches on topics of practical solutions and emerging issues.
In concurrent with technical presentations are the industrial exhibit where there will be 30 exhibitors displaying the latest developments and advances in mine ventilation and occupational health and safety. This provides an excellent opportunity for participants to develop professionally and to network.
The last feature for the Congress is the mine tour. Participants get to visit any of the four magnificent mining operations (with both coal and metalliferous mines) that showcase some of China's most sophisticated and advanced mining operations.
I am sure you will find the event worthwhile and I look forward to seeing you in Xi'an this September.
